About Me

Katie: I started couponing in 2011 because there was more month than there was money, even though we both work full time. I saw an episode of Extreme Couponing, and I decided that if we could cut out expenses by 30%, we would have some breathing room. I did not realize what I was getting myself into at the time. Using coupons has cut our expenses by 90%, and we have been able to pay off MOUNTAINS of debt, and save a ton of money. My husband and I just got married, and are purchasing our first home through the money that we saved from these thrifty techniques; our family is living proof that this works! Many people ask me how clipping a $0.50 coupon could save me any actual "money". Since 2011, I have not been "using coupons"; I have been COUPONING. This is not your grandmother's coupon resource. I started this blog as a way for my friends and family to be able to save money (and time!). I think that it is important that people know that you do not have to struggle financially to support your family. I believe that living frugally is the best way to live lavishly, and by following some of the tips and tricks here, you will be able to do the same!
